Teaching materials
Below you can find teaching materials demonstrating different aspects of evolutionary theory. We have collected materials under themed pages, from which you also find our suggestions for using the materials in remote teaching. All materials are freely available, under CreativeCommons licence.
There are different ways to make use of the available materials. You can either follow the whole lesson plan, or choose from single exercises and lectures. There are suggestions for modifying the lessons to different age groups, and according to how much time you have. |

Symbiosis
How do plants and fungi benefit from cooperation? What is a mycorrhiza? |
Plant-pollinator Interaction:
How do different organisms sense the world and how it has shaped the evolution of species? |
Evolution of Protective Coloration:
How predation has resulted in so many different coloured organisms? |
Communities and Evolution
How competition can promote evolutionary change? How human acts can have cascading effects on species interactions? |
Biodiversity & Evolutionary History
How far back in time the history of species dates to? How has the biodiversity of our planet evolved? |
Bombus Medley: Evolution and Ecology of Bumblebees
How have bumblebees evolved or how do they communicate? What is the cooperation between bumblebees like? |
Variation in plants
What do the seed stages of flowering plants look like? How have seeds adapted for dispersal? |
